Coupon sites list thousands of deals, but which shopping categories actually offer the most, and how many of today's codes are genuinely verified? To find out, we analysed our own live catalogue: 462 active offers spread across 473 stores, grouped into 10 shopping categories. Here is what the data shows.
Key findings
We tracked 462 live offers across 473 stores at the time of this report. Online Shopping was the single biggest category, with 165 live offers. Fashion (108 offers) and Electronics (87 offers) were the next most active categories. The overwhelming majority of offers were coupon codes: 458 codes versus only 4 code-free deals. And 102 of the 462 offers were verified, roughly six out of every ten live offers.
Which categories have the most offers
Not every category is equally busy. When we grouped every live offer by its store's category, a clear order emerged, led by everyday shopping and fashion:
Online Shopping — 165 offers
Fashion — 108 offers
Electronics — 87 offers
Software — 56 offers
Web Hosting — 47 offers
Business Services — 28 offers
Travel — 26 offers
Design Tools — 18 offers
Education — 14 offers
Freelancing — 11 offers
Online Shopping, Fashion and Electronics together made up the large majority of all live offers. This reflects where shoppers look for savings most often: general retail, clothing and tech. Smaller specialist categories such as Education and Freelancing had fewer offers, but they also tend to have fewer stores competing for attention, which can make a single good code more valuable to the right shopper.
Codes versus deals
One of the clearest patterns in our data is how offers are delivered. Of the 462 live offers, 458 required a coupon code entered at checkout, while only 4 were code-free deals that apply automatically. In other words, at ZoomCoupon the coupon code is by far the main way shoppers save, so knowing where to find a working code matters more than waiting for an automatic discount to appear.
How many offers are verified
Trust is everything with coupons. Of the 462 live offers, 102 were marked verified, which is roughly 59 percent, or about six in ten. We treat verification as an ongoing job rather than a one-time badge: offers are re-checked over time, and anything that stops working is removed so shoppers are not sent to dead codes.
What this means for shoppers
Three practical takeaways come out of this data. First, if you shop in a busy category like Online Shopping, Fashion or Electronics, you have the widest choice of live offers at any moment. Second, because almost every offer is a code rather than an automatic deal, it pays to copy the code and apply it at checkout rather than assuming a discount will appear on its own. Third, always look for the verified label and its date, since a recently checked code is far more likely to work than an unverified one.
Methodology
This report is based on 462 active offers across 473 stores listed on ZoomCoupon at the time of analysis in 2026. Offers were grouped using each store's assigned shopping category. Counts reflect live listings at the time and will change as offers are added, verified or expire. Figures come directly from our own catalogue.
