Privacy policy
This policy explains what information ZoomCoupon collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We have kept it plain rather than legalistic.
Last updated: 18 September 2026
The short version
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- You can browse and use every coupon on this site without giving us anything.
- We only ask for an email if you want the newsletter, an account, or a reply from us.
- When you click through to a retailer, that retailer and its affiliate network set their own cookies — that is how we get paid, and it is covered below.
Information you give us
We collect this only when you choose to hand it over:
- Newsletter: your email address and the fact that you consented.
- Account: your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Coupon submissions and code requests: the code or offer details you send, and an email address if you supply one so we can tell you the outcome.
- Contact messages: whatever you write to us, plus your email so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our server records basic technical data: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, and the page that referred you. We use this to keep the site running, spot abuse, and understand which offers people find useful. We also record anonymous click counts on offers so we can show which coupons are working for other shoppers.
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies:
- Essential cookies keep you logged in and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. The site cannot work without these.
- Analytics cookies are used only if we have Google Analytics enabled, to see which pages and offers are popular in aggregate. This is set in our admin settings and may be off entirely.
- Affiliate cookies are set by the retailer or the affiliate network — not by us — after you click through to a store. See the section below.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies cannot be turned off without breaking login and form submission.
Affiliate links and tracking
Some links here are affiliate links. When you follow one, you are redirected through an affiliate network — for example impact.com, Awin, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten Advertising, Partnerize or FlexOffers — which sets a cookie so the retailer can attribute a purchase to us. We do not receive your name, your card details or the contents of your basket. We may be told that a purchase happened and its value, so we can be paid. Each network has its own privacy policy, which governs the data it collects. Our affiliate disclosure explains the commercial side.
How we use your information
To run and improve the site, reply to your messages, send only the newsletters you asked for, review coupon submissions, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers for their own marketing.
Our legal bases (UK/EU visitors)
- Consent — the newsletter, and any analytics cookies.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the site secure, preventing abuse, and understanding aggregate usage.
- Contract — running your account if you create one.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to keep or disclose something.
How long we keep things
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then we keep a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete the account.
- Contact messages and submissions: up to 24 months, so we can follow up and spot repeat abuse.
- Server and error logs: typically 30 to 90 days.
Who we share data with
Only with suppliers who help us operate: our hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and analytics if enabled. They act on our instructions. We will also disclose information where the law genuinely requires it. If the site were ever sold or merged, your data would transfer with it and this policy would continue to apply until replaced.
International transfers
Our suppliers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, admin areas are access-controlled and forms are protected against cross-site request forgery. No website can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and fix problems quickly.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and you can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, ask for a copy of your data in a portable format, or complain to your data protection regulator.
If you are in California: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To make any request, use our contact page or email admin@zoomcoupon.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted there.
